Students coming to LSI have a variety of options when selecting an English Course.
One of the most popular courses at LSI is the ESL level 1-7 Program which is designed to focus on standard English classes: Listening & Speaking, Grammar & Writing, and Reading & Vocabulary. The program is scheduled for 18 hours per week allowing students plenty of time to learn new material and practice it at home with friends.
Another quite popular program is the Combination Program - Option 2 which combines the same classes as ESL Program but includes a conversation class. This program enables students to enhance their English fluency skills through extensive practice and conversation. The program is designed for 24 hours per week with the conversation class scheduled in the afternoon.
Students who would like to get the ultimate experience of learning English and master their skills in a short period of time should consider our Combination Program - Option 2. This program is designed for 36 hours per week and incorporates morning and afternoon classes, including ESL classes in the morning, and Conversation Management and Accent Reduction (CMAR) class as well as In-Depth Communication and Discussion classes in the afternoon.
Students who would like to practice their English only in conversation or would like to prepare for the business world should consider our Conversation. Both programs are designed for 18 hours per week, which gives students plenty of time to practice their English with skilled instructors and use their English skills in real situations outside of the classroom.
My English has improved a lot in the TOEFL iBT® class. I have learned many tips and have practiced writing. Professor David gives us good examples and has taught us how to organize the structure of English writing. He also analyzes sentence structure in detail and explains vocabulary in an easy way. We practice speaking by discussing the reading’s topic from the book or from recent news in America. The TOEFL teacher has inspired me to think more about my life and the environment.
