Accommodations for Students

LSI partners with a local company, United States Student Services (USSS), which provides comfortable facilities located close to the school campuses. Students may choose from Dormitory or Homestay accommodations. LSI will carefully match the student's needs with the appropriate accommodations.

Dormitory

Alhambra
The Alhambra dormitory is located in a convenient area where students can enjoy their time in coffee shops, movie theaters, and restaurants. The distance from the dormitory to the school campus is about a 5-minute drive by car. The Alhambra dormitory is a two-story European style house with 6 rooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room with a fireplace and a swimming pool. All rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, chair, lamp and a closet or a wardrobe. All utilities, including high speed Internet, are included.There is also a laundry facility on site, as well as a kitchen for students to use.

Los Angeles
There are two areas where students are offered housing near the Los Angeles campus: The Wilshire and Harvard dorms. The Wilshire dorm is just a 2 minute walk from the LA campus. The Harvard dorm is located just 15 minutes by bus from the LA campus. Both dorms provide wireless internet. Meals are not included.

Torrance
There are three buildings around the Torrance campus, approximately 30 minutes from school by bus. The dormitory is close to the Galleria Shopping Mall where many students like to go.
Like other LSI dorms, the Torrance dorm has high-speed (DSL) internet. Limited parking is available and priority will be given to those who inquire first - fist come, first serve. The bathroom is shared. Meals are not included.

Orange County
For our OC location we have multiple units in the apartment complex near the school (a 15 minute walk). Each unit/apartment consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are shared - 4 students per apartment. Each apartment, including the kitchen, is fully furnished. There is high-speed (DSL) internet in each unit. Meals are not included.

Beverly Hills
Our students can also choose to stay in a Beverly Hills dormitory provided by our partner school, Mentor Language Institute. There are multiple units in one building. Each unit is fully furnished. Wireless internet is provided. Meals are not included. The dormitory is 10 minutes from the Beverly Hills campus (MLI) by bicycle or bus.

Homestay

The Homestay experience is a unique accommodation choice for students because it welcomes them into an American home. Students who choose to live with a homestay family are looking for a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment in which they can be introduced to American customs, traditions, and family lifestyle. The home allows them to practice their English on a daily basis and enjoy homemade meals in a familiar setting. Homestay families typically plan special events such as family outings and guided tours of the city for the student. The homestay program carefully matches students with suitable families. We often see how friendships, which last a lifetime, are formed.
